Yes you can place one-time orders while you have an active subscription!

After adding products to your cart, be sure to select the one-time purchase option at checkout, instead of adding products to your subscription.

One-time orders will not affect your subscription. Your next subscription order will be shipped as usual (and you will be charged on time as expected).
