How should I recycle the cat treat packaging?
Updated this week

Our packaging is made from monoplastic, which is a single type of polymer—either polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP). This type of packaging is designed to be recycled compared to multi-material or layer plastics packaging as it reduces complexity in the recycling process and allows for better material recovery.

How to Recycle Our Packaging:

  1. Check your local recycling guidelines: Recycling rules can vary, so make sure your local facilities accept plastic bags and flexible packaging. Most places in the EU should accept monoplastic.

  2. Clean the packaging: Give the bag a quick rinse if it’s greasy or has leftover treat crumbs. Clean packaging is more likely to be successfully recycled.

  3. Dispose of it in the correct recycling bin: Look for the plastic recycling bin in your area to ensure it gets sorted and recycled properly.

    • Belgium: Put in the plastic waste bin (PMD)

    • Netherlands: Put in the plastic waste bin (PMD)

    • France: Put it in the yellow bin for recyclable plastics.

    • UK: Check your local authority’s guidelines; many areas accept flexible plastics in kerbside recycling or at store drop-off points.

    • Italy: Dispose of in the yellow bin for plastic packaging.

    • Spain: Use the yellow bin for packaging, ensuring it’s clean and dry.

    • Germany: Place in the yellow bag or yellow bin for packaging waste.

By recycling your cat’s treat packaging, you’re helping reduce waste and contributing to a more sustainable future. Every little bit counts!
